چکیده
We analyze the Bell polynomials Bn(x) asymptotically as n → ∞. We obtain asymptotic approximations from the differential-difference equation which they satisfy, using a discrete version of the ray method. We give some examples showing the accuracy of our formulas.

Numerical solution of nonlinear Fredholm-Volterra integral equations via Bell polynomials
In this paper, we propose and analyze an efficient matrix method based on Bell polynomials for numerically solving nonlinear Fredholm- Volterra integral equations. For this aim, first we calculate operational matrix of integration and product based on Bell polynomials. By using these matrices, nonlinear Fredholm-Volterra integral equations reduce to the system of nonlinear algebraic equations w...
متن کاملAsymptotic analysis of generalized Hermite polynomials
We analyze the polynomials H n(x) considered by Gould and Hopper, which generalize the classical Hermite polynomials. We present the main properties of H n(x) and derive asymptotic approximations for large values of n from their differential-difference equation, using a discrete ray method. We give numerical examples showing the accuracy of our formulas.
متن کاملAsymptotic Bias in Information Estimates and the Exponential (Bell) Polynomials
We present a new derivation of the asymptotic correction for bias in the estimate of information from a finite sample. The new derivation reveals a relationship between information estimates and a sequence of polynomials with combinatorial significance, the exponential (Bell) polynomials, and helps to provide an understanding of the form and behavior of the asymptotic correction for bias.
متن کاملAsymptotic Analysis of Binary Gas Mixture Separation by Nanometric Tubular Ceramic Membranes: Cocurrent and Countercurrent Flow Patterns
Analytical gas-permeation models for predicting the separation process across membranes (exit compositions and area requirement) constitutes an important and necessary step in understanding the overall performance of membrane modules. But, the exact (numerical) solution methods suffer from the complexity of the solution. Therefore, solutions of nonlinear ordinary differential equations th...

We analyze the Hermite polynomials Hn(x) and their zeros asymptotically, as n → ∞. We obtain asymptotic approximations from the differential-difference equation which they satisfy, using the ray method. We give numerical examples showing the accuracy of our formulas.
